Hi! this is Yuka from Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro.
I have only two more days to transfer to the next place...
Now we are preparing to welcome all guests from all over the world because we probably have Olympic and Paralympic this summer.
The Japanese often send paper cranes to a person who is ill or injured as a player for recovery. Also, cranes are considered to bring good fortune, especially for living a long life. We made them wishing for the coronavirus to go down and the recovery of people around the world.
While we were making the origami, my coworker who is a senior to me, told me how it was like in this hotel before the pandemic, and I also heard some heartwarming stories that have happened in Sakura Hotel before. He said that our hotel values every meeting and relationship with our guests. Since I just started working here, so the facts really motivated me to wait for the time when many people can enjoy going on a trip and visit Tokyo.
I'm going to do my best for the two days remaining here!
Thank you so much for reading! :)
