We, Sakura hotel and hostel, often organize various events for the guests.
They are sometimes events that are designed to let foregin guests learn Japanese culture, and
sometimes, just for fun.
Here are a few examples of events we organized and enjoyed with our guests.
This is a Caligraphy Work Shop.
Caligraphy is deeply ingrained in Japanese life.
In the work shop, guests can learn how to write their names in Kanji, Chinese letters,
as well as caligraphy technique.
This is a Sumo Watching Tour.
We go to Ryougoku Kokugikan, which houses a Sumo wrestling ring.
It is like a colosseum of Sumo wrestling.
You can enjoy dozens of Sumo matches there and it probably becomes unforgettable experience.
This photo is from a Cherry Blossomes Viewing Tour.
In late March or early April, we organize this kind of tour.
Cherry blossomes are special flowers for Japanese.
Having a party under the trees is a practice Japanese people have been doing since more than 4oo years ago.
If you get to have a chance to stay at one of our hotels, please join one of our events !
