Got delivered this elaborate dyed cloth!

which I made at the workshop in Tokyo Dyed Cloth Story Museum.
This dyed cloth named 'Edo Komon' became popular in the Edo era incorporated into Samurai's formal uniform "Kamishimo".
Its pattern is so aesthetic and graceful! The entire process is done by artisan's hands not by computer printing.

The workshop including a guided tour and an experience of dyeing cloth is really recommendable, and the atmospheric way to there, getting a tram, walking in the nostalgic town alongside Kanda river can show you the different face of Tokyo.
If you are feeling a bit bored with typical sightseeing, this must be the best option! (one of the staffs speaks English)
