April 2013 Archive.

Here, Japan, is on Huge Holiday named `Golden Week` since last Saturday.
Usually going to oversea or long distance trip.
However most of Japanese people spend time in Domestic place near home this year due to a weak yen and shorter time compare with any year.

The place to recommende is very famous place, `UENO ZOO`.

It was very jammed with a million of people to enter, especailly for seeing `PANDA`.
should wait for 70 mins for Panda, crazy!!

Again, thanks to our many guests staying at both our hotels and our share houses we once again managed to obtain a number of dishes from countries from all over the world thanks to our monthly cooking party here at Sakura Hotel, Ikebukuro. This week we enjoyed dishes from Russia, Norway, China and Bangladesh.

Good Afternoon Everyone~ I hope everyone has been able to enjoy the beautiful weather that we`ve suddenly started getting again this week! It also looks like the weather is going to continue getting better and, I don`t know if this is just me, but, when the weather starts getting as nice as this I tend to start eating more salads and fruits, because sometimes it is just too hot to be able to eat a burger!

So today I would like the introduce a new pasta that we have lauched here at Sakura Cafe which is the Seasonal Vegetable Pasta with vegetables straight from our own farm up in Aomori Prefecture!

Hi! I'm Manuel, the new staff of the Sakura Hotel, Ikebukuro. You know the symbol of the Ikebukuro city? Is a Owl! In Japanese "Owl" is "Fukuro". In Ikebukuro is a beloved symbol character and there is many streets with a statues or draws of a Owl. Else, in the Ikebukuro Station there is a Shop that sells the traditional Japanese sweet called "Taiyaki" but this time is not with Fish shape, is with a Owl shape!
